Somebody I haven’t spoken to in a large handful of years just reconnected with me today.
She was in a position to alter my reality in a way that could have been detrimental to my peace of mind.
Nothing bad, per se. But a situation sure to upset my apple cart, nonetheless. That aside, we had a very warm reunion. (She’s one of the nicest people to talk to!)
At the end of the talk, during which I shed light on some facts not previously made known to her, she decided to swing her decision in a direction more favorable to me.
Based on the content of our discussion, she felt annoyed that the other party hadn’t informed her as well, nor checked into this situation more deeply themselves.
The favorable decision was now based solely on my word.
My friend told me that my word was never and has never been in doubt, based on our long ago interactions.
She told me I was a “man of justice” and that regardless of the problem, I was someone who got the right thing done;
I was someone who got the work done
She was referencing my ability to enter a setting and start putting the right pieces into play the right way, while maintaining harmony throughout, in order to complete the group’s goals.
In order to help others.
(I paraphrased the shit out of the above, but that was her gist.)
Why am I sharing such seemingly ego-stroking, self aggrandizing details?
Only to highlight what I told her next:
That is the point to my entire website – to provide a platform for the stories of others, who might not have the ability to do so on their own. To create value out of nothing, by doing so for free. And to live my life simply by being me in the process, which is really what Outsiders Journey is all about.
Share your story through my site and watch as others who find you through me begin to say nice things about you too!
