There are places of such wonder, not all of them physical, that only get seen by those who aren’t afraid to fail.
I just watched a 14 min video of Arnold describing what it takes to succeed in life and have whatever it is you wish to have.
The content of his words might or might not pertain to you.
And as much as I’ve idolized Arnold over the years, I have no desire to lead life as he has led his.
Too much work. Too much activity.
But that’s what it took to bring him the type of happiness he’s always pursued.
Yet the context of his story, “don’t be afraid to fail”, applies to all of us, regardless
That, I can get behind 100%.
Those of you who get this newsletter have potentially been let down by my long absence.
There are a bunch of reasons for why this latest break took place, and I discussed them in the latest podcast below.
But those reasons, to a degree, don’t matter.
Because, in a sense, I’ve failed.
I’ve failed to keep you regularly updated and inspired to overcome the kinds of problems I’ve conquered.
I do feel bad about that.
But I don’t beat myself up over it
Long ago, I got clear on why I’m like this and what it means, and what it might mean to you guys out there, too.
And I accept whatever comes of it.
But still wish I’d do a little better with this all
Point is, I keep working at it, no matter how much I drop the ball…or fall flat on my face…in the process.
Eventually, I will have a life from doing all of this that I feel certain I can’t even fully imagine right now.
Then it’ll all have been worth it.
And that’s what I’d like to impart to you: the awareness that, no matter how much you may drop the ball…fail..at taking on whatever fight it is that consumes the majority of your energy, just pick it up one more time…
…and keep playing.
You’ll be rewarded in ways that the quitters can never know.
