We all get mad but we all do NOT get mad ALL the time.
Which category are you in? If it’s the second half, let’s talk.
In our practice, we’ve dealt with a number of formerly angry people. (We helped make the “formerly” part materialize but read on.)
Anger is natural. Anger all the time is not. And it isn’t even an effective tool for getting the job done. If it is effective on your current job, maybe you should question the healthiness of keeping that particular job.
Anger is a great tool under the right circumstances.
- It can even save your life
- It can work pretty good for defense
- Anger can help you pull off miracles when you thought you had nothing left to give
- It can help you push through a job that’s already taken too long and hurt too much by giving you the energy and focus to make that final push to completion
But anger as a way of life just wears a guy or girl out. Blinds you to the nicer parts of life, too.
NSA can end the constant appearance of anger in your day
You may very well have a righteous and sound reason for being mad all the time. We’ve all run up against bad neighbors whose activities ruin our quality of life. Same goes for bosses, coworkers, and all the other drivers on the road who are in our way as we all go to the jobs none of us wish we had.
But still, being mad all the time is not going to get you any closer to where you want or need to be in this life.
Finding out why the anger’s there or why you put yourself in a life that demands so much anger, is the key
Like we said, sometimes you land in a shitty situation where just about everything does indeed suck. OK. So why are you in that situation?
Economics and geography can put us there, seemingly unable to change our circumstances for the better. Those two things can be killers in their own right. We agree.
So, what choice are you left with? Well, if you really are stuck, the only control you have, no matter what, is how you feel.
Nobody can climb into your skull and “put” pissed off into your mind
Being mad is a response we generate to life. It’s a reaction. Not an unavoidable constant. We are deciding to react in this way. So, the new route we’ll teach you is how to respond differently. Non-angrily.
Is it easy? Hardly. Simple but not easy. But take heart in knowing that there is at least a way out.
Will your life magically improve as a result of this newfound ability to not be pissed all the time? Yeah, actually. It could. Maybe. Maybe a lot or maybe only a tiny bit but you’ll have less heartburn and those you love most will enjoy being around you more.
Do all your problems go away? Nope. None of the big ones do. The ones your anger was directly fueling will but not the colossal everyman issues.
Losing your anger won’t make your monstrous medical bills evaporate. It won’t get you a new job. It won’t land you in a new location, closer to better job opportunities.
But losing your anger WILL help you rationally find a way to start solving all these things!
We just can’t think straight when we’re pissed all the time. And thinking straight is the only defense we have against a life that has not turned out the way we’d like.
If your house catches on fire, screaming at it won’t slow the flames. Getting a bucket of water will.
You have to be able to think clear enough to go get the bucket. Then you save your house. Then you figure out how the fire started. Then you make the necessary changes or get the help you need to make those changes so that this never happens again.
Or maybe you just decide to move. But you’ll need a clear head to put everything into place to make these plans become a reality.
NSA and Reorganizational Healing will bring you that peace and clarity so that you can go to work on these big problems and fix them, once and for all. We eagerly await the chance to help you pull this off and add you to our list of “formerly” angry persons!
