My Wife Tells Me I Am Like A “Walking Encyclopedia”

She says that no matter what the question is,
I either have the answer or I know where to look to find it.

And I am at my happiest when I’m opening that encyclopedia for those who are hurting the most.

So here’s the deal: my whole site explains me to you.

And I like me just fine.

But I’m more interested in you!

So I am fond of hearing other people’s stories.

And I have an almost unnatural desire to come up with a solution to any problems that these stories might contain.

However, I also know that many people just want to feel as if they’re being heard.

I do well with that too.

I can be your confidante–your “man behind the throne”–someone in your corner for when the going gets rough, someone you can turn to when the shit hits the fan.

Someone who just listens.

Not always providing an answer but simply remaining present, and hearing you as you try to sort it all out.

And I can even be the foot in your ass, if you need it!

I know from personal experience that being held accountable is sometimes the only way I ever get a thing completed.

It helps to simply touch base with someone you trust as you pick and fight your way forward.
